Moscow ready to boost agriculture supplies to China — Russian PM

The Russian government said earlier that the Sino-Russian cooperation in the field of agriculture will be strengthened, adding that agribusiness products have become the second largest Russian export to China after hydrocarbons

BEIJING, December 19. /TASS/. Russia is ready to boost supplies of agriculture products to China, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"We welcome the decision by the State Council of the People's Republic of China to ease access of goods of the Russian farming sector to the Chinese market. We are ready to boost their volumes," he said at the 28th regular meeting of heads of the two countries’ governments.

The Russian government said earlier that the Sino-Russian cooperation in the field of agriculture will be strengthened, adding that agribusiness products have become the second largest Russian export to China after hydrocarbons, with the volume of agricultural deliveries in the first 10 months of 2023 increasing by 63% to $6.2 bln.
