MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. The trade turnover between Russia and India reached almost $55 bln in the period January-October 2023, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said at the plenary session of the XIV Indian-Russian Business Dialogue.
"According to Indian statistics, the mutual trade turnover has already reached almost $55 bln, to be precise, 54.7 [bln dollars] in the first 10 months of this year," he said.
"Russia has become one of India's main trading partners. We maintain leading positions in supplying hydrocarbon raw materials, providing over one-third of Indian imports of mineral fertilizers, agrobusiness products and [products from] the diamond mining industry," the ambassador added.
Earlier, Alipov said that the trade turnover between Russia and India for the period January through September 2023 had reached a record $48.8 bln.
In 2022, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $39 bln.
