MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the 14th VTB Investment Forum "Russia Calling!" in Moscow today.
This year’s forum is themed "Making Deglobalization: Uniting Sovereign Economies."
VTB announced earlier that Putin will speak at the forum’s plenary session. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the president does plan to address the forum but that he is not expected to hold a traditional discussion with delegates. Later in the day, the Russian leader is scheduled to receive Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
The two-day forum will bring together senior officials from Russia’s finance and economic development ministries, the Central Bank of Russia and other related agencies, as well as Russian and international business leaders.
Putin traditionally attends the forum. Addressing the previous edition, he gave his assessment of the Russian and global economies, called for international cooperation, warned on the existing risks and outlined tasks for the future.
