MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Nuclear technologies used in Russia are 98% sovereign - Russia uses only its own nuclear technologies in the field of security, Head of the direction for the implementation of state and industry programs in the field of ecology of Rosatom Andrey Lebedev said.

"In terms of nuclear technologies, we have 98% sovereignty. Those 2% that remain are not vital, nor are they significant. When it comes to state defense orders and new technology that safeguard the country's security and sovereignty, this figure reaches 100%," Lebedev stated.

He added that the state corporation's objective is to strengthen its technological sovereignty. "The foundation laid since Soviet times allows us to expand into other related industries, among other things. Today, we are developing many major environmental areas, including wind farm building, new material development, digital technology, and, of course, medicine," he added.
