Putin permits Gazprom International to acquire Gazprom Zarubezhneftegaz

Gazprom International Limited specializes in searching and acquiring oil and gas assets with high technical and economic indicators in friendly countries

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin permitted Gazprom International Limited to acquire 100% of the shares of Gazprom Zarubezhneftegaz, according to the order by the head of state.

Gazprom International Limited is part of Gazprom Group. The company specializes in searching and acquiring oil and gas assets with high technical and economic indicators in friendly countries. The main tasks of the company are the sale and management of assets in the interests of the Gazprom Group, representing the interests of Gazprom in relations with foreign public and private companies.

Through its subsidiaries Gazprom International Limited owns 14 assets in eight countries, as well as a pool of promising development assets. The key ones are projects in Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Algeria, Libya, Bolivia, as well as Bangladesh, and activities on the North Sea shelf.
