The market will surge by about 27.5% in average every year during these five years

MOSCOW, April 10. /TASS/. The global urban air mobility market will grow by more than $5 bln from 2022 to 2027, according to the press release on results of Technavio research.

"According to Technavio market research company, the global urban air mobility market will grow by $5,280.25 mln from 2022 to 2027. The market will surge by about 27.5% in average every year during these five years," the press release reads.

The public demand for eco-friendly and noiseless urban transport providing for quick and stable air movement will be among market growth drivers, the company noted. The next factor will be the e-commerce market growth.

The level of battery technologies development is among constraints for the market growth, Technavio said. The power density of a battery for a drone with commercial payload characteristics should be 500 Wh/kg as a minimum, while the majority of batteries now have just 30-50% of such capacity.
