Russia’s efficiency in countering economic threats unexpected for the West — Putin

The Russian leader noted that the financial system, all production branches and all services segments are working smoothly and without interruptions

MOSCOW, February 9. /TASS/. The efficiency of Russia in countering threats created for the country in the economic sphere has become unexpected for the states of the collective West, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.

"It was inevitable that our individual industries faced difficulties. Nevertheless, I believe that it was unexpected for many among those attempting and continuing attempts to create difficulties for us how efficiently we oppose threats in the economic sphere, created against us," the head of state said.

It turned out as a result that the financial system, all production branches and all services segments are working smoothly and without interruptions, the Russian leader noted.

Russia has not merely coped with all shocks but also expects growth of its economy as regards all indicators in this year, the President noted. "It means we have overcome the most difficult, as I hope, stages of difficulties attempted to be created against us, and will move forward," Putin added.
