MOSCOW, January 31. /TASS/. Transneft is ready to start transporting 20,000 metric tons of Kazakh oil via Druzhba to Germany in February - an agreement with Kazakhstan has been concluded, official representative of Transneft Igor Dyomin told TASS.
"We have everything ready to transit these 20,000 tons of oil from Kazakhstan through Russia, Belarus, Poland to Germany along the northern branch of Druzhba. An agreement has been signed, route instructions have been prepared, and the necessary transit payments have even been made," he said.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said earlier that Russia is ready to support the Kazakhstan’s request for transit of its oil to Germany via the Druzhba oil pipeline.
KazTransOil, the national oil pipeline operator of Kazakhstan, has applied to Transneft for extra oil pumping over the northern branch of the Druzhba oil pipeline in 2023, but the Russian company still has no contract set for these volumes, Transneft Spokesman Igor Dyomin told TASS earlier.
