It was earlier reported that the chain was considering entering the CIS market, as well as countries where McDonald’s is not present

MOSCOW, January 16. /TASS/. The Russian-based fast food chain, Vkusno I Tochka, (which translates to Tasty and That’s It) has filed an application to register its trademark in Kazakhstan following the exit of McDonald's from that country in order to guarantee its copyright, the company’s press service told TASS.

Earlier, a chain of fast food restaurants managed by Food Solutions KZ announced that it would no longer work under the McDonald’s brand in Kazakhstan due to supply restrictions. Representatives of Vkusno I Tochka said that they had no agreements on entering the market of Kazakhstan.

"The trademark application has been filed in accordance with the company's brand protection activities," a spokesman said.
