Over 20 foreign delegations to participate in Innoprom fair in Russia’s Yekaterinburg

The Italian Republic, the fair’s partner, will have the largest delegation

YEKATERINBURG, June 30. /TASS/. More than 20 foreign delegations will take part in the Innoprom international industrial exhibition, with the largest of them being from Italy, the partner country, and Hungary, Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of Russia’s Sverdlovsk Region Vasiliy Kozlov told a press conference on Wednesday.

"In terms of organization, Innoprom is being held in challenging times. Nevertheless, the participation of 23 large foreign delegations has been confirmed. The Italian Republic, the fair’s partner, will have the largest delegation. We expect a major delegation from Hungary headed by Minister [of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter] Szijjarto, heads of companies that are ready to open business in the Urals, will come, which is very important," Kozlov said.

According to Minister of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region Victoria Kazakova, Innoprom allows sharing innovative ideas in the fields of industrial production and digitalization, while trade turnover between participating countries is increasing. "As part of Innoprom we plan to sign 16 agreements," she said.

President of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Andrey Besedin noted the action-oriented interest of Slovakian and Slovenian delegations. "This is an action-oriented story, heads of those delegations have asked us to help them not only to pitch at Innoprom itself, but also to organize visits to industrial enterprises beyond the platform, which is a separate serious program," he explained.

The Innoprom international industrial exhibition is Russia’s key industrial, trade and export fair. It is held annually on the territory of the international exhibition center Yekaterinburg-Expo, which consists of four pavilions with total space of 50,000 square meters and a congress center with space of 41,600 square meters. Italy will act as a partner country this year. An exposition of national Italian companies will be showcased at around 3,000 square meters. In 2021 the exhibition will be held from July 8 to 5.
