LUGANSK, March 9. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military command has been reinforcing troops in Seversk in the Donetsk People’s Republic due to the advance by the Russian army in settlements bordering the city as Seversk serves as a logistics center for Kiev, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.
On March 6, Marochko told TASS that Kiev had been reinforcing troops in Seversk since the beginning of the week, with Ukrainian soldiers occupying the basements of residential houses and administrative buildings, hiding hardware in warehouses.
"I think that the augmentation of the group of Ukraine’s armed units in Seversk is related to the fact that the front line is slumping both in the area of Kremenskoye forests and in Belogorovka. Moreover, our troops are seriously pressing the enemy near Torskoye. So this is the reason of an overflow, so to say, of Ukrainian militants in the settlement of Seversk as it is a logistics center for the enemy, kind of a hub, from which Ukrainian militants start to the line of engagement and to the front line," he said.
