MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. Ukraine’s special services sent fake emails with a link to allegedly apply for participation in a military-patriotic dictationto 42 educational organizations to obtain personal data of schoolchildren for recruitment, an FSB official said in a video distributed by the special service.

Earlier, an FSB spokesperson said that the special service had thwarted an attempt by Ukraine’s military intelligence to obtain personal data of schoolchildren in Moscow and the Moscow region by sending letters from the resources of youth military-patriotic organizations.

"We have identified the email addresses of 42 educational organizations, to which the forged letters were sent. This letter contains an Internet link for applying for participation in the test. As you can see, the main goal of the Ukrainian intelligence is to obtain personal data of students to carry out further individual work with each one and incite them to illegal activities against the security of the people and the Russian Federation as a whole," the FSB official said.

He noted that Ukraine’s military intelligence service and the Security Service (SBU) obtain information about the Russian military personnel against the background of military equipment and various sources on the Internet due to non-adherence to basic requirements for protecting information about army membership, while information about teenagers and educational organizations is open.

"It is not difficult for any Internet user, let alone representatives of foreign intelligence services, who are specially trained in unauthorized access to classified information, to access it," the FSB official pointed out. Information technology is an integral element of our lives, and the Ukrainian special services skillfully exploit it.

"We see how they carry out this activity, and we take appropriate measures," the official said.

Earlier, the special service said that it revealed Ukraine’s Defense Ministry’s unauthorized access to the information resources of the educational and methodological center for military-patriotic education of youth Avangard and the All-Russian Children's and Youth military-patriotic public movement Yunarmiya. Ukraine’s special services illegally accessed electronic mailboxes and intercepted scanned copies of letters inviting teenagers to participate in the military-patriotic dictation. After that, they modified the electronic files and carried out mass mailing to the educational organizations in Moscow and the Moscow region.
