Defense companies in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Region increase ammo production

MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. Artillery and aviation ammunition manufacturers in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Region will continue to increase production, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"A program aimed at further expanding production capacities to manufacture weapons and meet the needs of the Russian forces involved in the special military operation is being successfully implemented," the statement reads.

Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu earlier visited a number of regional defense companies and held a working meeting with their leadership, which also involved military authorities. The defense chief particularly emphasized the need to comply with the schedule for the implementation of the state defense order.
