Russia says fighters check subscriptions to pro-Russian channels in Dnepr, Zaporozhye

If they find the subscriptions, they take the civilians to unknown locations, Mikhail Mizintsev, head of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said

MOSCOW, June 16. /TASS/. Mikhail Mizintsev, head of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, on Thursday said fighters of Ukrainian nationalist units check phones of civilians to see if they have subscriptions in social networks and messengers to pro-Russian channels.

If they find the subscriptions, they take the civilians to unknown locations, the general said.

"At checkpoints in the cities of Dnepr and Zaporozhye, militants of nationalist battalions organized massive checks of the civilian population. All citizens suspected of being loyal to Russia or condemning the Kiev regime (message exchanges and calls to Russian numbers in phones, subscriptions on social networks and instant messengers to pro-Russian channels), are subjected by neo-Nazis to physical violence and taken away to unknown locations allegedly for further investigation," Mizintsev said.

He said that the fate of 367 citizens detained from June 1 to 16 remains unknown to their relatives and friends. Most of them are women and teenagers.
