BRUSSELS, April 10. /TASS/. Ukrainian strikes at military targets beyond the special military operation are legitimate, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg claimed.

According to Stoltenberg, this is a part of Ukraine’s right for self-defense "to strike legitimate military targets outside Ukraine [NATO always refers to Ukraine’s 1991 borders - TASS]," because Russia uses so many military means to strike Ukraine, he said during a press conference with President of Finland Alexander Stubb.

However, he refrained from giving any specific advice to Ukraine on what targets it should or should not attack, and refrained from commenting on "any intelligence" regarding Ukrainian attacks on the Russian territory.

During the 1999 NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, NATO Spokesman Jamie Shea repeatedly told reporters that, from the Brussels’ standpoint, any enemy infrastructure facilities can be viewed as "legitimate military targets." This category included bridges and power plants, among other things.
