BEIJING, December 19. /TASS/. Moscow and Beijing are forming a new type of relations between world powers on the basis of mutual respect and interests, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang said at the 28th regular meeting of the heads of the Russian and Chinese governments.
According to him, the past year’s cooperation once again confirms that China and Russia are truly trustworthy and reliable strategic partners.
"Under the conditions of tectonic changes in the modern world, Sino-Russian relations are able to withstand the tests of international turbulence. This was made possible by us taking the right path to build interstate relations and creating a new type of relationship between world powers characterized by mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and a win-win [framework]," Li Qiang said.
He pointed out that both Russia and China are key players on the global stage. "We and our Russian partners are ready to jointly develop bilateral relations, strengthen cooperation in practical areas for the benefit of the two countries and our peoples, thus making a greater contribution to world peace and development," he concluded.
