MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. The West’s criminal provocation in the Ukrainian town of Bucha was fabricated to justify a preplanned package of sanctions and hamper negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.

"It is obvious that this terrible criminal fake was fabricated in order to justify another pre-arranged package of sanctions, including the large-scale expulsion of Russian diplomats from a number of Western countries and, of course, in order to complicate, if not completely thwart, the negotiations, when Kiev started to demonstrate signs of a realistic approach," Zakharova noted.

According to Zakharova, the third objective of this fake was to inflame the situation not only in the region, but also in the world.
