Ukraine was doomed to become US colony, says Russian security chief

For eight years, Europe has turned a blind eye to the war that the Kiev regime was waging against civilians in the Donetsk and Lugansk Regions, Nikolay Patrushev pointed out

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev believes that the US had been hatching plans for the fate of Ukraine as their colony. Therefore, according to him, it is important now to return the country to grassroots rule by the people, true popular sovereignty.

"Of course," Patrushev said, replying to a question on whether Ukraine was predestined for such a fate during an interview with the Argumenti i Fakty weekly.

"For this reason, it is so vital to bring back true grassroots popular rule to Ukraine, to liberate the country’s inhabitants from oppression by bigots, fanatics, tormentors and real animals in human guise who are rampaging throughout Ukraine," Patrushev stressed.

According to the Russian security chief, currently "in Ukraine, Russia is clearing out the Augean stables created by the US and their European cronies."

"For eight years, Europe has turned a blind eye to the war that the Kiev regime was waging against civilians in the Donetsk and Lugansk Regions, but overreacted when Russia decided to end the war. Europe ignored Kiev’s statements touting future use of force to seize Crimea and Kuban, but was awakened when our government decided to eradicate the hotbed of neo-Nazism on Slavic soil," Patrushev concluded.
