MOSCOW, March 10./TASS/. The documents that the Russian Armed Forces have confirm numerous incidents in which biological samples of Ukrainian nationals were sent abroad, chief of Russia’s radiation, chemical and biological protection force, Igor Kirillov, said on Thursday.
"I want to reiterate that representatives of Western states are extremely cautious about passing their biomaterials. Meanwhile, the available documents confirm numerous cases when biological samples from Ukrainian nationals were transferred abroad," he added. He cited as an example the incident when 350 shipping containers with blood serum samples were sent from the public health center of Ukraine’s Ministry of Health to the infectious diseases reference laboratory of the Australian Doherty Institute under the pretext of determining antibody titers.
Russia’s Armed Forces have uncovered proof of the Pentagon’s financing research on developing a mechanism of the covert spread of deadly pathogens in documents at biological laboratories in Ukraine, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said earlier on Thursday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24 launched a special military operation in Ukraine following a request for assistance from the leaders of the Donbass republics. He said Moscow had no plans for an occupation of Ukrainian territories. The sole purpose is the country’s demilitarization and denazification. The Russian Defense Ministry says its forces are not attacking cities. Their focus is entirely on military infrastructures.
