The tragedy in Nice

On July 14, 2016, a rig rammed into the crowd at Nice’s Promenade des Anglais, where thousands of people gathered to celebrate the Bastille Day, the national day of France. The rig took lives of 86 people and injured 458. The attack was conducted by Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel from Tunisia. The attacker was eliminated by the police after they managed to stop the vehicle.

The Islamic State terror group, outlawed in Russia and many other nations, took responsibility for the attack, who declared the attacker "its soldier.".
