Another group of 100 Russians, family members crosses Rafah checkpoint in Gaza – Ministry

Over 1,000 people have already been rescued from the enclave

MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. About 100 Russian nationals and their family members crossed the Rafah checkpoint in the Gaza Strip, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations announced, adding that over 1,000 people have already been rescued from the enclave.

"About 100 Russian nationals and their family members crossed the checkpoint today," the Ministry said.

The Ministry noted that over 1,000 people have been evacuated from the conflict area since the beginning of the humanitarian operation; over 940 people, including over 420 children, have already been delivered to Russia by 10 Ministry flights.

The Ministry also noted that Russian rescuers, psychologists and medics provide all necessary medical and psychological aid, provide people with food and water and provide necessary papers. After all these stages, Ministry planes will deliver the evacuees to Moscow.
