MOSCOW, September 24. /TASS/. Air defenses intercepted and destroyed 70 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions and the Black Sea overnight, the Defense Ministry reported.

Two people were injured by shrapnel in the Rostov Region after a drone attack. Drones also attacked a petrochemical plant in the Russian Republic of Bashkortostan.

TASS has compiled the main information about the attack’s consequences.

- Between 11:00 p.m. Moscow time on September 23 and 7:00 a.m. Moscow time on September 24 (between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on September 23 and 4:00 a.m. Moscow time on September 24), air defenses intercepted and destroyed 70 Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod, Kursk, Rostov, and Volgograd Regions, Crimea, and the Black Sea, the Defense Ministry reported,

- Air defenses and the Black Sea Fleet shot down 16 drones over Sevastopol, Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said.

- He specified that no civilian facilities were damaged and that airspace monitoring continued. All emergency services were on standby.

Consequences

- As a result of a drone attack in the village of Bazkovskaya in the Rostov Region, a private residence caught fire, Governor Yury Slyusar said.

- He later reported that two people were hospitalized with shrapnel injuries following the attack.

- Fragments of the drones were found in a number of houses, as well as in the courtyard of a private organization.

- As a result of falling drone debris, fires broke out in dry grass in several areas of the Volgograd Region, Governor Andrey Bocharov said.

- They were quickly extinguished.

- The regional head also reported a power outage in the village of Podkuykovo.

- Bocharov clarified that there was no damage to residential buildings and no casualties.

- Drones attacked the the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat petrochemical plant in the Russian Republic of Bashkortostan, regional head Radiy Khabirov said, adding that the ensuing fire was being extinguished.
