Kiev makes over 10 futile attempts to storm Russian positions near Makeyevka in LPR

"The Ukrainian military command failed to carry through its plan," military expert Andrey Marochko said

LUGANSK, February 18. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military made over 10 futile attempts in the past few days to storm Russian positions near Makeyevka in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS on Tuesday.

"Over the past few days, Ukrainian militants attempted more than 10 times to storm the Russian army’s positions west of Makeyevka in the LPR. The main battle was for the commanding heights under our control. The Ukrainian military command failed to carry through its plan," the military expert said.

"The active phase of combat operations" continues near Makeyevka, he added.
