Maia Sandu’s remarks on communication with the people an 'inhuman lie' — diplomat

Maria Zakharova highlighted the recent report that the updated website of the Moldovan parliament is now available only in Romanian

MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described Moldovan President Maia Sandu’s comments about the lack of communication with the Moldovan population in Russian as an 'inhuman lie.'

"This is an outrageous shamelessness, and it is, of course, an inhuman lie, because lies and shamelessness are inherently linked," she stated during a briefing, commenting on Sandu’s remark about the mistakes she made during her first presidential term, which included the failure to communicate with the people of Moldova in Russian.

"We have seen and heard such repentance many times before; we hear and see such claims from politicians in the collective West. They always promote everything good on camera, while they pursue the opposite in reality."

The diplomat highlighted the recent report that the updated website of the Moldovan parliament is now available only in Romanian.

"And it was [the Romanian language] that replaced Moldovan under Sandu’s decree. And what about Russian there?" the diplomat questioned.

"In fact, everything contradicts Sandu’s statements. It is all a manipulation, a lie, and a deception of the people," she concluded.
