MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he does not count the number of sanctions introduced against Moscow but their number is over 40,000.
"Forty [thousand sanctions were introduced against Russia] thus far, in my opinion. To be frank, I do not count them," Putin said at the Q&A session combined with his annual press conference.
When answering the question what Western countries are afraid of by introducing such number of sanctions and attempting to "ruin, even 'kill' LNG projects in the Arctic," the head of state said, "Yes, what they are afraid of? They are afraid of competition. And they use political tools for unfair competition."
