MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. If Europe ever wants to remember the years when Josep Borrell spearheaded its diplomacy, it will do so with shame, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with television host Pavel Zarubin.
"I don't think anyone will recall them, and if they do, it will not be without a sense of shame," the spokesman told the reporter from the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
According to Peskov, the EU is far from taking an independent, sober view of what is happening.
Borrell's term ends in November 2024. He will be succeeded by Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas.
