Speaker says Russia to not let anyone isolate it, reveals interest for country is great

Valentina Matviyenko noted that many foreign speakers had voiced a desire to come to Russia and the Federation Council had a very tight schedule for receiving delegations

MOSCOW, March 15. /TASS/. Russia will never isolate itself and will never let anyone isolate it, the interest in the Russian Federation in the world is still great, Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said.

"We will never allow ourselves to be isolated, and we will never let anyone isolate Russia. <…> There is no isolation of Russia. On the contrary, there is great interest and many [foreign] speakers have voiced a desire to come to Russia. We have a very tight schedule for receiving delegations," the speaker said at a plenary session on Wednesday.

This is how she commented on the report of Federation Council Deputy Speaker Konstantin Kosachev on the results of the Russian delegation’s participation in the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Bahrein. The senator revealed that the Russian delegation had received a lot of interest from representatives of parliaments from all over the world.
