Kremlin says not informed of potential CSTO deployment to Donbass

Earlier, the head of the State Duma’s Defense Committee did not rule out that CSTO peacekeepers could be deployed to the liberated territories in Ukraine

MOSCOW, June 7. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Tuesday refused to comment on a potential CSTO deployment to Donbass.

"I have nothing to say here, as I don’t have the information," Peskov said when asked a relevant question.

Earlier, Andrey Kartapolov, the head of the State Duma’s Defense Committee, did not rule out that CSTO peacekeepers could be deployed to the liberated territories in Ukraine, as well as to the Donetsk and the Lugansk People’s Republics in the future. LPR People’s Militia officer Andrey Marochko told TASS on Monday that CSTO peacekeepers could be sent to the Donbass republics only after their territories had been completely cleared from Ukrainian troops.
