Earlier on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call with US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry

MOSCOW, July 14. /TASS/. Dialogue between Russia and the US on climate issues is possible and necessary, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.

"In general, the climate agenda is a sphere, where dialogue between Russia and the US is possible and necessary," he said.

The spokesman pointed out that earlier on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call with US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, who is currently on a working visit to Moscow. They discussed the issue of decarbonization and the climate agenda on the whole.

According to Peskov, Kerry also informed the Russian leader, what was on the agenda of his contacts in Moscow.
