The bomb attack on Istanbul’s Istiklal Street on November 13 left six people killed and over 80 others wounded

ANKARA, November 14. /TASS/. A woman who had left behind a bag with an explosive on Istiklal Street in Istanbul on November 13 that killed at least six people has been caught red-handed by local police, the Turkish public broadcaster TRT reported on Monday, citing police sources.

Numerous CCTV cameras installed around that street frequented by tourists helped track down the suspect’s route. Upon the woman’s detention in a rented apartment, the police discovered a pistol and cartridges, the TV channel said.

The chief suspect in the Istanbul bomb attack and another 21 individuals who could be complicit in the terror blast have been brought to the city’s security department where they are currently being interrogated.

The bomb attack on Istanbul’s Istiklal Street on November 13 left six people killed and over 80 others wounded. The investigative team believes that the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) banned in Turkey and its Syrian branch called the People’s Defense Units are complicit in the terror blast.
