MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Russia has once again become the top crude oil supplier to China and India as of the end of October 2023, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said in its December report.
According to the Organization, Russia made up almost 17% of China’s total oil imports. Saudi Arabia accounted for 14% of shipments and Malaysia - about 12%. China’s oil imports edged up overall by 4% in October 2023 against September and stood at 11.6 mln barrels per day (up 14% annually).
Russia is the leader in oil supplies to India and accounted for 36% of the country’s total imports, OPEC said, citing Kpler analytical agency data. Iran and Saudi Arabia both had a share of 20% of supplies.
Total oil imports by India edged up by 2% month on month in October to 4.4 mln barrels per day.
