LONDON, December 7. /TASS/. EU member states and the European Parliament have negotiated the rules regulating artificial intelligence systems, including the ChatGPT chat bot, Reuters reported, citing a source close to the negotiations.
According to the source, EU states want to use AI capabilities for biometric surveillance for national security, defense and for military purposes.
Following a 10-hour discussion, EU governments resorted to a compromise to secure the support of lawmakers that oppose the biometric data-based surveillance, Reuters notes.
