MOSCOW, August 25. /TASS/. The Code of artificial intelligence (AI) ethics signed by Russian majors last October contains plenty of ambiguous wordings that prevent understanding of AI technology applicability rules, the digital solutions department head of Polylog agency told TASS.
"Many extended wordings preventing clear understanding of offered rules are embedded in the text of the document. For example, human supervision over AI systems should be provided where ‘reasonably applicable’," Ludmila Bogatyreva said. The expert questioned the criteria of ‘reasonable applicability’ for AI technologies.
"Certainly, it is highly important to define general landmarks. However, creation of a sound regulatory foundation is even more important for AI development," the expert said. The market needs more clear and specific rules to underlie development of technologies, Bogatyreva added.
