MOSCOW, April 22. /TASS/. The number of registered unemployed in Russia amounted to 678,200 people as of April 19, which is not higher than March levels, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said on Friday, adding though that the negative trends on the labor market persist as the number of part-time workers and those at a halt is rising.
"The number of registered unemployed is not higher than in early March. As of March 1, 2022 it was 682,800 people, whereas as of April 19 it amounted to 678,200 people. But we still register negative trends such as the growth of the number of organizations that have announced changes in their employment modes and, consequently, an increase in the number of citizens at a halt or part-time workers," she was quoted as saying by the office following a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the situation on the labor market.
All structures are closely focused on the implementation of the plan of action to support the economy for maintaining jobs and preventing the growth of unemployment, Golikova added.
