MOSCOW, February 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has tasked the government to develop a federal scientific and technical program in the sphere of ecological development and climatic changes for 2021-2030.

"I signed a decree launching the federal scientific and technical program in the ecology and climate sphere," the head of state said on Monday at a meeting of the Council for Education and Science. This sphere is critical for the society, Putin noted. The goal of this program is "to develop and implement together with the business and scientists domestic technologies that will support environmental security, improve the state of the environment and make an effective contribution to solution of climate change problems," the head of state noted.
The relevant decree of the Russian president was posted on the official web portal of legal information on Monday. According to the document, the national government must "develop and approve the federal scientific and technical program in the sphere of environmental development of Russia and climate changes for 2021-2030, stipulating development of science-intensive technological solutions, within the term of six months."
