Russian Armed Forces shot down three Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft over day

Since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 201 aircraft

MOSCOW, June 12. /TASS/. Russian air defense systems and fighter aircraft shot down three Sukhoi Su-25 attack aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in a day, official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov announced on Sunday.

"Russian air defense systems shot down one Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Dolgenkoye area of the Kharkov region," he said.

"Operational-tactical and army aviation hit three command posts and 25 areas of concentration of forces and military equipment," Konashenkov said and added, "Fighter aircraft shot down two Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in the districts of Raygorodok and Cherkasskoye of the Donetsk People's Republic".

The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed the Buk-M1 air defense system, an airspace control radar, S-300 radar, and two MLRS batteries of Ukrainian troops over the day with high-precision missiles, Konashenkov said. According to him, over the past day, high-precision air-based missiles hit two command posts and 15 areas of concentration of forces and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 201 aircraft, 1,188 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 3,514 armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as 508 multiple rocket launchers, Konashenkov noted.

"In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 201 aircraft, 130 helicopters, 1,188 unmanned aerial vehicles, 338 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,514 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 508 multiple rocket launchers, 1,870 field artillery pieces and mortars have been destroyed, as well as 3,570 special military vehicles," he said.

At the same time, using Kalibr cruise missiles the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a large warehouse of anti-tank missile systems and portable anti-aircraft missile systems in the Ternopolskaya region supplied to Kiev from the US and the EU, Konashenkov said.
