"Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu inspected the progress of fulfillment of the state defense order by military-industrial complex enterprises in the Tula Region. The Defense Minster inspected shops producing modern weapons at the NPO Splav and the Imperial Tula Arms Plant," the Ministry noted.

According to the Ministry, heads of the enterprises reported about the programs being implemented on expansion of production capabilities in order to fulfill Russian Armed Forces’ demand for modern weapons across the entire spectrum of products. The Minister was shown shops on production rockets and automated lines on assembly of guided anti-tank missiles and artillery shells.

The management of the enterprises reported that the newest types of weapons and military vehicles have been put into mass production. In addition, introduction of new technologies makes it possible increase production volumes, the Defense Ministry said.
