MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. Member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) have approved participation in joint exercises of a new joint formation of radiation, chemical and biological defense and medical support of the CSTO, the CSTO Joint Staff told TASS on Friday.
"[They] approved the participation of a new unit of the collective security system, which is a joint formation of radiation, chemical and biological defense and medical support of the CSTO, in joint exercises," the press service said after the consultations, held on March 10-11, on organization of joint training for the command and formations of the CSTO collective security system in 2022.
The event was attended by representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and the CSTO Secretariat and Joint Staff.
During the consultations, the parties agreed to be guided by the scenario, which has been drawn up by the CSTO Joint Staff, on how the military, political and strategic situation will unfold in the regions of the CSTO collective security, when preparing joint and special exercises.
"The timeframe of staff talks on the preparation of joint special exercises with the CSTO collective forces has been scheduled," the press service added.
