Protest against Russian air strikes in Syria held outside Russian embassy in Dublin

The protesters laid several dolls stained with red paint at the gate and hung banners on the fence

DUBLIN, November 6. /TASS/. Nearly two dozen young people, with a few minors among them, from Irish Syria Solidarity Movement staged a rally outside Russia’s embassy in Dublin on Saturday, protesting against Russian air strikes in Syria.

The protesters laid several dolls stained with red paint at the gate and hung banners on the fence.

When asked by TASS about a possible link "of the wild demonstration" in London and a protest rally in Dublin, Russia’s Ambassador to Ireland Maksim Peshkov said that "the question should be addressed to organizers."

"That is not the first such case in Dublin," he continued. "Here the rallies are held within the law. Police are present and there are no actions compromising the embassy’s security.".
