Israel ready to consider military solution to issue of Iranian nuclear program — diplomat

US President Donald Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform on March 7 that he had sent a message to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calling for talks on Tehran’s nuclear program

MOSCOW, March 24. /TASS/. Israel is prepared to consider a military approach to the concern of Iran’s nuclear program, Acting Israeli Ambassador to Moscow Alexander Ben Zvi said in an interview with TASS.

When asked if Israel was ready to pursue military options to resolve the issue, he said: "All options."

Discussing a recent phone call between the leaders of Russia and the US, Ben Zvi pointed out that it was promising as long as words led to real action. "A thing to remember is that Russia actually maintains close cooperation with Iran. If Russia is capable of ensuring the suspension of Iran’s nuclear program through this cooperation, then it’s really a very important step, and yes, it is promising," the diplomat stressed.

"I know that the United States will always take steps in this direction. If Iran agrees to that and stops making threats every day to wipe Israel off the map, then opportunities will emerge for a peaceful process, but if not, all options are on the table," Ben Zvi added.

US President Donald Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform on March 7 that he had sent a message to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calling for talks on Tehran’s nuclear program. Commenting on Trump’s statement, the Iranian leader stressed that his country would not engage in dialogue with the US because Washington was only concerned about its own interests. On March 12, Ayatollah Khamenei said that Trump’s remark about his readiness for talks was aimed at deceiving global public opinion.
