WASHINGTON, March 7. /TASS/. US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz has said he will take part in talks with the Ukrainian delegation in Saudi Arabia next week.
"Secretary [of State Marco] Rubio, myself and Ukrainian delegation will be meeting in Saudi Arabia next week to get these talks back on track, get the ceasefire in place, and drive peace home," he told reporters.
"The Ukrainians had a great opportunity to bind our economies together through that mineral deal. Unfortunately, that didn't go so well, but we think we're going to get things back on track," he said.
He also said that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will visit the United States within days. "We have the NATO Secretary General coming next week," he said.
US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steven Witcoff said on Thursday that delegations from Kiev and Washington planned to meet in Saudi Arabia to discuss Ukrainian reconciliation. According to Axios, US and Ukrainian officials will meet in Saudi Arabia on March 12 to discuss efforts towards reaching a ceasefire. Witkoff will be joined by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and White House National Security Adviser Mike Waltz.
