Hamas to release Russian hostage in recognition of Russian support for Palestinians

TUNIS, February 14. /TASS/. Hamas decided to release Russian national Alexander Trufanov from Gaza on February 15 in recognition of Russia's support for the Palestinians, a spokesman for the group told TASS.

"We believe that the Russian position supports the Palestinian cause," said the spokesman, Taher al-Nunu.

Trufanov's release will be a "sign of respect for Russia's position on Palestine," he went on to say.
