DUBAI, December 21. /TASS/. New Syrian authorities have appointed Asaad Hassan al-Shibani to head the country’s Foreign Ministry under the transitional government, the opposition said in a statement.

The SANA news agency said al-Shibani previously headed the political department of the National Salvation Government, which has ruled Syria's northwestern Idlib governorate since the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham movement (outlawed in Russia) seized control of it in 2015.
