PARIS, January 11. /TASS/. Stephane Sejourne has been appointed as France’s new foreign minister, according to Alexis Kohler, the chief of staff of the French presidential office.
He will succeed Catherine Colonna, who led French diplomacy since May 2022.
Since September 2022, Sejourne has served as secretary general of the French president’s Renaissance party, which he also has represented in the European Parliament since 2019. Since 2014, he has served as an adviser to Emmanuel Macron, who was then the economy minister and is currently the president of France.
