UNITED NATIONS, November 1. /TASS/. The UN General Assembly First Committee on Tuesday adopted Russia’s draft resolution on no first placement of weapons in outer space, according to a TASS reporter at the meeting.

The resolution drew support from 123 delegations, while 50 voted against it and 4 abstained. The resolution is now moving on for consideration by a full General Assembly in December.

Another 18 countries have become co-sponsors of the resolution.
