Plane with over 180 Russian tourists arrives from Bangkok to St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, April 7. /TASS/. An Aeroflot flight has brought more than 180 Russian tourists who were stuck in Thailand due to the coronavirus-related restrictions. The plane has landed at St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo airport.

"The plane landed at Pulkovo at 17:43 Moscow time," the airport’s press service told TASS on Tuesday.

The press service of the city’s administration confirmed this information, adding that among the 187 passengers were residents of St. Petersburg, the Leningrad region, and some other Russian regions. Local residents will be placed under 14-day mandatory self-isolation and residents of other regions will be taken to a special center for suspected coronavirus carriers. According to the city’s administration, the passengers will be met by Russia’s sanitary watchdog officers who will examine them for coronavirus symptoms. If anyone is found to have any, he or she will be taken to hospital.
