TEHRAN, November 23. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday presented an old manuscript of Holy Quran as a gift to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted on Moday the oldest manuscript of Holy Quran kept in Russia to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei," IRNA said.
The gift was handed over at a personal meeting between Putin and Ayatollah Khamenei in Tehran on Monday before the summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).
