KURSK, November 27. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops fired mortar rounds and sent FPV drones after British mercenary James Scott Rhys Anderson after he surrendered to Russian forces in the Kursk Region, a Russian officer said.
"When we started to evacuate [those who decided to lay down their weapons and surrender], they [Ukrainian troops] opened friendly fire," said a Russian platoon commander, who took part in the operation.
In his words, Kiev troops fired conventional 120mm mortar rounds, silent munitions and at least one FPV drone with a fragmentation charge.
"We constantly put our own lives at risk to evacuate people and save as many lives as possible," the Russian serviceman continued. "Everyone was apalled by the fact that the armed forces of Ukraine are attacking their own men. And the Briton was speechless [when] he realized when his former comrades were after him now.".
