MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl will teach at Yesenin Ryazan State University, interim dean Dmitry Bokov announced.
"Today, Austrian official, journalist, and politician, Austria’s former Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl visited our university. During her visit to Yesenin Ryazan State University, we reached an agreement: Karin Kneissl will teach here," he wrote.
As the interim dean reported later, the agreement stipulated that Kneissl’s lectures, which will be open to all students, will be held at least four times during the school year. "We brought up the issue of simultaneous interpreting because our plans involve interaction with all those interested, while lectures on international diplomacy and politics will also be relevant to those who are not fluent in a foreign language. We plan to cover very diverse topics, including economics, political science, diplomacy, and sociology," Bokov wrote on his VKontakte page.
Earlier, TASS reported that following the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Kneissl rented a house in the village of Petrushovo in the Ryazan Region of central Russia.
Kneissl served as Austria’s foreign minister from 2017 to 2019. Later, she was forced to leave Austria after receiving threats. According to reports, she resided in Lebanon. On June 15, 2023, on the sidelines of SPIEF, Kneissl told TASS that she was seriously considering moving to Russia.
