BEIJING, October 30. /TASS/. Russia is determined to continue military and military-technical cooperation with interested countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including the supply of equipment and joint exercises, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu stated at the 10th Xiangshan Security Forum.
"We are determined to continue military-technical cooperation with interested states, including the supply and maintenance of military equipment, personnel training, joint exercises, ship visits, and other relevant events," Shoigu said, noting that global events demanded that Russia adjust its foreign policy priorities, with the Asia-Pacific region occupying a special place among them.
At the same time, he emphasized that military-technical cooperation activities "are carried out in strict accordance with national legislation and international standards and are not directed against third countries."
Shoigu also pointed out that Russia has taken "consistent steps to increase cooperation with the states of Southeast Asia, the vast majority of which have not joined the anti-Russian sanctions, despite severe pressure from the United States and its satellites.".
